If you fish the inlet is right there, if you surf, forget it because you can only surf the North side of the inlet which means walking 1 mile, up and down stairs that go up and over bridge 100', or you could drive a few miles to make u-turn to go North and exit on North side and still walk 500' from parking area. Make sure you bring a tarp with screen as there is zero shade and bugs come out from tidal logoon 10' away, at sunset. Of course if you had a $200k RV, things might have been better. I didn't sleep well because you would hear: neighbors conversations, lights glaring in from cars driving thru camp area, US 1 traffic 200' away. ![]() If you would enjoy camping in a 20'x40' sand lot with tents on 5' on each side of you and paying $34 a night for the privilege, then by all means go ahead. After that, please call the park to reserve at 30. Online program registration ends 24 hours prior to program. The only downfall for us is that campfires are banned, but all in all we love this place! This 1.3-mile trail meanders through hardwood forest, meadow, salt marsh, and freshwater bog habitats. I don't think I would want to tent camp here, it looks pretty crammed and there is, again, no shade. ![]() If you get bored at the campground you are smack dab in the middle of Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, MD so you can take your pick. There is a wonderful playground for the kids to exhaust themselves. The shower houses are newly remodeled and very nice. The beach is to die for and it is an easy walk under the bridge to the guarded beaches. It is bounded on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by Rehoboth Bay and Indian River Bay. Delaware Seashore State Park is located near Dewey Beach, in Delaware, United States. This never poses a problem for us because we have an awning, but if you don't it could prove to be a scorcher. / 38.65000°N 75.06639°W / 38.65000 -75.06639. The balance of the site is mostly sand and be warned that there is no shade whatsoever. We camp in an RV and it is the only Delaware State Park to offer full hook ups which is very helpful! The sites are pull through style and have a paved surface. Delaware Seashore State Park is a wonderful place to visit. ![]()
